Description

Telmisartan is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Telmisartan is also used to lower the chance of heart attack, stroke, or death in people 55 years of age and older who are at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Hydrochlorothiazide is used to treat edema (fluid retention; excess fluid retained in body tissues) caused by various medical problems, including heart, kidney, and liver disease, and to treat edema caused by the use of certain medications.
